Let’s see, MCARP… when someone suggests that my best political alternative is to support the ancient, narcissistic also-ran and spoiler Ralph Nader, do I really care what she thinks on any political subject? What she seems to think of me personally doesn’t give me much confidence in her personal opinions about much of anything else. So, what question do you propose?

Thanks for the link, it was creepy. Having been brought up with the Nazi news reels as an eduactional tool to immunize us from that kind of people at school, I wonder why Obama hasn’t stopped this adolation crap a long time ago. And if he doesn’t understand the implications, I don’t like what I have to imply.

From a technical perspective, this one misses the mark for me. I can’t understand what some of the people are saying because the O-BA-MA chant is mixed too high. And the guy whose mic didn’t work should have been reshot or left out.

But at least we’re not being told Obama was chosen by God to lead us. We’re not being told we’re all going to die if he isn’t elected. We’re not being warned about what the Muslims or Mexicans or the gays or the scientists are going to do us. No 527 group is buying ads alleging Hillary was never really married to Bill Clinton.

If I had to choose between the rock-concert chanting and the quasi-Stalinist ‘the leader is the state’ horseshit we’ve had the past eight years, I know which I’d prefer.

And bear in mind we’ve got a generation of first-time voters who were ten to fourteen years old when Bush took office. If the Bush/Rove mindset were almost the only thing you’d ever known, what would it take to get you to believe some other alternative was possible?

We know how that sort of propaganda works. Do you think the difference you see in the “tributes” is what is D.C. produced vs. Hollywood produced?

I’ve always felt that Obama has a healthy dose of ego and some of it is deserved but it puts me off. As you know, I’ve not been swept up by him. I’ve seen his speeches, debates, and tributes. I read one of his books. I think he’s honest, so I don’t know what my hesitation is.

This vid is about the Latino/a/Hispanic vote. Lately you see Obama reaching out to different communities with specialized messages. Too many promises he can’t keep?

I don’t know where the hell my hope went. I guess I lost it when Jesse had to go to Iraq because “we the people” supported a couple of crooks. My distrust spilled over.
