The kids are really into mail right now – letters, magazine subscriptions, post cards and that kind of thing. I should clarify that they are into receiving mail, not sending it. The only thing George asked for for her birthday was chapter books and she got them.

What I think would be really cool would be if you wrote her a childhood story and included a photo(s) of you at the time. You could send it to me electronically, and I could make it into a little booklet or something. That would be very cool. George (and her mother) would love, love, LOVE it. Mr. Needles would make a great story.

In fact this would be a fantastic gift for EVERY birthday. You could give Parrish the hunting story. Oh, the best gift from a storyteller is a story and you are a storyteller.

I’ll hush-olay. I’m sure you are more than capable of grandparenting. ;-)
