Just a couple of quick hits today in the nature of “I read the news today, Oh, boy”:
First, in New South Wales Australia, prostitution is legal and it’s International Whore Day today so they will wear red dresses and carry red umbrellas and protest what they see as discrimination in advertising rates. All well and good until the head NSW slut says she’s outraged because she’s “paying too much for a measly two inches.” Ah, … don’t we all?
In the second story, a woman with a kidney stone is misdiagnosed by the ER, the doctors, and it’s all FUBAR and she is now a quadruple amputee — no arms, no legs. Gee, aren’t you glad there are caps on the amounts she can be awarded as a result of “tort reform”? Nevermind, the lawyers for the defendants pointed their fingers in every direction but taking responsibility and the jury found for the doctors, but the judge threw out the jury verdict and now the quadraplegic mom goes back to square one. Just remember how the deck is stacked against our poor medical professionals by the nasty trial lawyers.
