That big "L" …

That big “L” you see on my forehead was placed there by the Usual Suspects who dragooned me into a fixed game at which I lost the sum of $three.fitty. However, the peach cobbler and ice cream I ate with great relish was probably worth twice the amount my so-called friends took from this poor, unguarded, trusting pensioner. I should have known it was not going to be my night before I ever arrived at the Debster and Oz’s residence. On my way to Edmond, I was thinking about the lovely MB and whether I’d be able to get to Arkansas to see her soon and, as sometimes happens, I was zooming up the Broadway Extension sorta kinda on autopilot. I autopiloted myself to Danforth and Bryant and almost turned into the Faircloud addition, which was MB’s house three houses ago, before I realized I was going to the wrong place altogether. A rather senior moment. Don’t play cards with a very tall, half-naked man named Ed, btw. It’s like tugging on Superman’s cape. Just not a good idea.

The artist, Miru Kim, captures photographs and short videos of underground and discarded architechture all over the world, appearing nude at times in her own images for reasons she explains in her talk. I loved a great many of these images. And, no, sorry, the nudity informs the images but will unlikely appeal to your purient interests.
