    Daddy, Daddy, Daddy.

I don’t get what the hullabaloo is about. Your fine exemplification of relationships has brought me through 16 years with a man who just last night exhibited his manly inability to make an unselfish decision. I know he’s going to wash his Jeep instead of do anything useful for the family on our most hectic day, so I premade dinner and set the table before leaving for guitar and soccer. What’s the problem? Being angry with Jesse about immature choices is as useful as expecting our dog to excuse himself from the room before farting.

It’s like childbirth. You educate yourself on the process, you internalize the worst pain that could happen, then when you see your man exhibiting apelike behavior, well, then, you take the pain and you move on. Also, like childbirth, you get to compare notes at girls’ night. Best of all, you can choose to do it “natural” or with tons of drugs.
