Oz and I had a good time in his little sports car Monday night. We went to eat at Chelino’s and then listened to jazz at the gold dome. Good times. We miss the Debster, but she reports all is well and she’s having fun catching up.
The one thing faster than the speed of light is bad news. I heard that Suz’s car was hit by a truck before it got off the tow truck. I hate it when that happens. She has other cars, but nooooo, the guy has to hit the caddy. F*tard.
I’m having fun redecorating the house, but I’m not near done yet. I’ll have 14 years sobriety, maybe I’ll have a cocktail party to celebrate. Wait. That’s just so wrong.
I had a wonderful, long phone conversation with baby sis, MindOverMary, and ALSO big sis, D*Team. Big Sis has a great idea for a writing project about adjusting to using smaller carbon footprints.
Also talked to MB, who was not feeling well but was happy anticipating a trip west. A shout out to MB’s puppy, Marley; love you, baby! According to her blog, RebL has just been in Los Angeles, visiting kin, taking the children but leaving the hubster.
Mom is working like convict hard labor at the apartments and still has time to terrify her daughter. Amazing.
I’m pretty jazzed up about Lebanese and Iranian elections and some few other things I read about following Obama’s Cairo speech. Hamas and Fatah will soon have another election. Seems to me there’s more democracy as I understand the term in the middle east than we give them credit. Of course, our closest allies in the region are dictatorships and monarchys, Israel excepted.
Here at home, I’m waiting with bated breath for the Minnesota Supreme Court to send the 60th Democratic Party vote to the U.S. Senate. U.S. Sen. Al Franken. From SNL to Capitol Hill. Wow. I can’t wait until he and Barney Frank get on a resolution committee or some such and hold a presser. It should make the news more interesting. Come to think of it, when the news is dominated by photos of Brittany Spears topless, what the hell?
